The latest excavations around the Darwin industrial wasteland in Bordeaux have revealed two vases with captivating shapes and illustrations. Offering singular curves new to the work of the ancient artist Rom av.JC, these oblong vases represent an alabastros (left) and a lekythos (right). The former was used to store perfume, while the latter was used to store oil.
